Dr. Kathryn Bunker AuD

mhk.aud@gmail.comDr. Katie Bunker AuD., is a Manhattan, KS native. She graduated from Kansas State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science. She then went on to the University of Kansas Medical Center, where she received her Doctorate in Audiology in 2013. She has been practicing in Abilene, Beloit and Concordia since June 2013. In June 2015, Dr. Bunker made her dream a reality and opened a full time practice location in her hometown of Manhattan.
Dr. Bunker and her husband Derek were married in Manhattan in May 2012. They have a 9 year old Morkie, Chloe, who rules the roost. They welcomed their first daughter Finley to the family in July 2014 and a second daughter Harper in January 2017. Derek was born and raised in Manhattan. He is the Vice President of Operations for BD4 Distributing in Manhattan.
Dr. Bunker is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family outdoors. She is also an avid Wildcat, Chiefs and Royals fan!
Dr. Bunker strives to provide a unique and personalized experience for each of her patients. Her focus is on improving communication and relationships through better hearing!
Dr. Laura Finazzo AuD
Audiologist
Dr. Laura Finazzo, Au.D. was born and raised in Manhattan. She graduated from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO in 2016 with a degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders. After finishing her undergraduate degree, she took a gap year as a Jesuit Volunteer in Aberdeen, WA where she met her husband, Joe. After this gap year, she returned to her studies and completed her Doctorate in Audiology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in May of 2021.
After graduation, she worked as a clinical audiologist at Topeka Ear, Nose & Throat until May of 2022 when she joined the Advanced Audiology team. Dr. Finazzo is very excited to set down permanent roots in Manhattan and to give back in a meaningful way to the community that made her the person she is today.
Dr. Finazzo is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband and family, cross stitching and knitting, and reading a good thriller novel.
Dr. Finazzo is passionate about helping others communicate with their loved ones and stay engaged with their community. She hopes to be a good resource to her patients and help guide them through their hearing health journey.
Brittany Ramsey
Audiology Assistant
Brittany Ramsey, Audiology Assistant, helps in routine maintenance of patients' hearing aids, troubleshoots technology as needed, and helps keep everything organized for when they travel for satellite clinics.
Brittany has been with Advanced Audiology for about two years. Prior to that, she worked with Deaf and hard of hearing children in various schools around Manhattan and St. George. Brittany graduated from The University of Northern Colorado from the Educational Interpreter Program. She has used her American Sign Language fluency and interpreter skills to facilitate language in various settings around the Manhattan area.
Brittany enjoys the problem solving aspect of helping patients get their devices back in working order. To her, it’s exciting for a patient to walk in with a hearing aid that isn’t working properly and have them walk out thrilled to be able to hear again. She loves making personal connections that leave a lasting impression and sets Advanced Audiology apart from other offices. "The future is no place to place your better days." -Dave Matthews
In her spare time, Brittany likes to play video games, read books, listen to podcasts, and rock her little one in the hammock. Most importantly she prefers Mayo over Miracle Whip!

Sarah Wilson
Patient Care Coordinator
Sarah Wilson, Patient Care Coordinator, answers the phones, schedules appointments, greets patients when they come into the clinic and is happy to troubleshoot problems when needed.
Communication is a huge part of Sarah’s job and she loves chatting with patients and getting to know them in addition to helping them. Sarah has years of customer service experience from her time in retail and implements those skills daily to help patients and provide a welcoming atmosphere at the clinic.
Sarah is relatively new to Advanced Audiology and spent 12 years previously managing a bookstore. She is a Kansas native and has lived in Manhattan since she graduated from Kansas State University. “A word after a word after a word is power.”—Margaret Atwood.
Sarah thinks communication, whether through written word or talking to someone in person, is a fundamental part of building relationships with people.
Sarah enjoys spending time with her friends and family and reading. She also enjoys a good cup of coffee. Or four. It depends on the day.
Kyla Piper
Office Manager
Kyla Piper is the office manager at Advanced Audiology. She oversees many different aspects of the clinic. From day to day items to the billing of insurance and marketing. Also anything that Dr. Bunker asks her to do she does!! Most of her time is spent kept in the back of the office so she doesn't often get to see all the patients! She has worked with Advanced Audiology since May of 2017.
Kyla is a native of Manhattan. She did move away for a while to play soccer in college but Manhattan/K-State called her back home. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree from K-State. Prior to working at Advanced Audiology Kyla was the Operations Manager for the K-State Super Store where she learned many valuable skills like multitasking and customer service. These skills made it easy for her to jump in at Advanced Audiology and hit the ground running. She enjoys trouble shooting to help patients figure out what is wrong with their hearing aids and also building relationships with our patients.
Kyla likes to spend her spare time with her husband and their two children, crocheting and eating tacos!
